Hundreds of Afghan soldiers to become eligible to live in UK after new information found
Briefly

An estimated 500 elite Afghan soldiers who fought alongside British forces may now be eligible to resettle in the UK after new evidence was found.
The review process that led to a reassessment of 2,000 rejected cases was initiated because of previous inconsistent decision-making in the Afghan resettlement scheme.
Minister Luke Pollard highlighted that evidence emerged confirming payments and employment relations between the UK government and Afghan soldiers, reversing earlier rejection claims.
The plight of these Afghan veterans is dire; some have been murdered for collaboration, while others are hiding or facing deportation risks in Pakistan.
