Following an investigation, the trophies were unexpectedly returned nearly two weeks later, discovered near the Doubletree Hotel where Shriver and her family were staying. The return brought immense relief to Shriver, who expressed joy at having her trophies back, likening the experience to winning another major championship.
Just under two weeks after they were taken, a box of trophies and photos appeared near the hotel's parking lot gate. Shriver said that Det. Damien Levesque of the Los Angeles Police Department told her that they collected the box Tuesday.
