Households here paying 355 more a year for electricity than EU average
Briefly

Electricity prices in Ireland are the second highest in the EU at almost 30pc above average, behind only Germany, Eurostat said.
When it comes to the net price of electricity, before VAT and any green levies, Ireland has the most expensive electricity in the EU, with prices already above the EU average.
The rise in the network charge will cost the average household around €100 a year, alongside the PSO levy that will cost more than €40.
Irish households pay on average over €355 a year more for their electricity compared to the rest of Europe, according to Eurostat figures.
