Here's where the spotted lanternfly has been reported in Mass.
Briefly

The spotted lanternfly, native to China, feeds on the sap of trees and poses a risk to the grape, orchard, and logging industries in the U.S.
According to MDAR, the first infestation in Massachusetts was confirmed in 2021, and the pest has since spread to numerous communities throughout the state.
"Being proactive in detecting and managing the spotted lanternfly is crucial for protecting our state's economy and environment from invasive species," said Danielle Burney.
Officials urge the public to learn how to identify the spotted lanternfly, as the insects can lay eggs on a variety of surfaces, aiding in their spread.
