The statement reflects discontent with the current political climate regarding Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) initiatives, criticizing ongoing systemic racism and bias against minorities in the job market. It highlights the perception that meritocracy is often a facade masking inherent discrimination and points out historical exclusion of qualified minorities. The author expresses frustration over the prioritization of 'white' cultural events in organizational listings, suggesting a regression in societal progress and lamenting the electoral choice of a leader perceived as racist.
DEI being taken away from our country tells us what a horrid state we are all in and that the American public voted for a racist, narcissistic president once again.
The word 'merit' is only used as a smoke screen for such racism. People in DEI programs must be able to prove themselves once they are in.
Historically, we have minority groups with the same qualifications as their counterparts but still are excluded because they are not white.
Maybe the DOD forgot to include St. Patrick's Day, Italian Celebrations, Polish Celebrations, and other 'white' events in their list.
