Graham Avery, a manager of Avery Farms, shared about the devastation, stating, 'The farm was submerged in six feet of water, and flooding caused extensive damage... It just clobbered us.' He noted that many trees may not survive due to contaminated soil.
Avery Farms is implementing strategies to salvage what remains, with Graham stating, 'We are selling a limited number of trees and turning other parts into tabletop trees, homemade wreaths and boughs... The community support has been overwhelming, with many donating and purchasing from us.'
Despite the devastation Hurricane Helene caused, Graham Avery reported, 'Due to high demand, online orders have been paused,' highlighting the community's response to support the farmers in challenging times.
