'He will always be remembered,' family of tragic Oisin Reddin (12) say as private funeral to be held
"A loving son, brother and grandson. Oisín was a much loved son to Pamela and an amazing brother to Cíon. He will be very sadly missed and always remembered by all his adoring family and many friends."
"The death of a child is a tragedy, and our thoughts are with the family, all those who knew him and the local community at this difficult time."
Oisín Reddin was discovered dead in his bed on the night of Wednesday, January 9. Gardaí suspect his father, 48-year-old Wayne O'Reilly, of murdering him; O'Reilly was seen leaving the Lealand Road property shortly after midnight on January 10. The following morning O'Reilly was found dead in a shed at a property in Cherry Orchard, Ballyfermot and is believed to have taken his own life. A missing-persons alert for the pair had been issued in October and they were located two days later. O'Reilly had prior Garda interactions, detentions under the Mental Health Act and an unfiled investigation over an alleged threat to his son. Tusla confirmed notification and offered condolences. A private funeral will be held.
