Briefly

"I have no words, just tears. We are broken forever as a family. Myself and Hazel are distraught," said Ms Doyle, referring to her daughter. "Our hearts are shattered into a million pieces. He is and always will be our hero."
"He went to work in Leinster House and started his journey home to us - but didn't arrive. We are waiting for a response from An Garda Síochána who have been incredibly supportive," added Ms Doyle.
"He will be finishing his journey home to us on Sunday, so we can be together. Our rock has been taken from us, whom we loved so much," Ms Doyle expressed in sadness.
Mr Doyle, who served in the Defence Forces, was a universally regarded colleague in Dáil Éireann, known for his wit and reliability, leaving colleagues stunned.
