Amirul Arif Bin Mohd Yunos, a child psychiatrist, was sentenced to eight-and-a-half years for sexually abusing a minor he groomed, starting when she was just 14.
The abuse escalated from grooming to rape in a year, with Yunos inflicting severe physical and psychological torture while manipulating the victim through violent pornography.
Some of the assaults occurred at Yunos's workplace, the Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services, where he was meant to care for vulnerable children, raising serious concerns about trust and safety.
Yunos's actions are described as premeditated and calculated, as he referred to his sexual assaults as 'biology lessons' while using methods to silence his victim.
