Gunfire hit a Southwest Airlines plane as it prepared for takeoff in Dallas

A Southwest Airlines flight was struck by gunfire Friday night while on the tarmac at Dallas Love Field Airport, a Southwest spokesperson confirmed.
Southwest Airlines Flight 2494 taxied safely back to the terminal after a bullet struck the right side of the aircraft while preparing for departure.
No injuries were reported and the plane was removed from service, with passengers being accommodated on another flight.
Dallas Love Field Airport stated the Dallas police responded to what it called a 'security incident' and one runway was briefly closed.
