The change has raised concerns among local businesses, which might suffer by not having immediate access to local pack information, requiring users to make an additional click instead.
While the local pack is still visible for various queries, this change can negatively affect visibility for some local businesses, as users may miss out on important information until they scroll down.
According to reports, this feature is currently being tested in the Google Search app on iOS, but interestingly does not appear on the Safari browser for the same search.
