Google Lens gets a precise tweak before the holidays to push shopping
Briefly

Google is enhancing its visual search on Google Lens to facilitate easier shopping, tying into the growing trend of users wanting detailed product insights through visual queries.
"We are now going to merge the power of Google's AI with the Shopping Graph...to help you identify specific products and details about them with just a snap of a photo," said Lilian Rincon, VP of product for Google Shopping.
"Visual matching has been helpful for however many years," she said. "But what we heard was that actually it's not just about finding a visually matched product. People really wanted to find out reviews in particular about the product or compare prices."
With nearly 20 billion visual searches a month, and 20% being shopping-related, Google Lens is poised for significant engagement as it targets younger users between 18 to 24 years.
