Good news: it's going to be 20 degrees warmer in New York this weekend
Briefly

The National Weather Service reports a significant temperature rebound in New York City, with highs reaching nearly 39 degrees this Sunday, up from 18 degrees previously. This marks the coldest weather in two years, yet residents are warned not to get too comfortable as potential snow is forecasted for late Sunday night. Meteorologists, including AccuWeather's Dave Dombek, are evaluating divergent weather models, with some predicting minimal snow. Despite the bitter cold, a slight warming trend offers brief relief for city dwellers who still need to bundle up.
The computer models are kind of divergent in their solutions as to what's going to happen with that," Dave Dombek, senior meteorologist with AccuWeather, said to SILive.com. "We have some of the models that are bone dry; just keep it all suppressed to the south and it never does anything."
It's clearly not the time to put away your parka just yet, but being able to walk around without feeling like your face might fall off is certainly a step up from the current state of affairs.
In Manhattan specific, you can expect highs to near 39 degrees by Sunday-up from 18 degrees yesterday morning. It's the coldest weather we've had in two years.
Another one of the models has a minor snow event, I wouldn't call it anything real major at this point, but it would bring us a minor snow event sometime as we start the work week.
