Every year, London's Trafalgar Square hosts a Chanukah celebration, uniting Londoners of all backgrounds despite this year’s absence of the traditional menorah due to safety concerns.
The Jewish Leadership Council stated, "Unfortunately, wind speeds are predicted to exceed the maximum permitted for the structure so the Chanukiah had to be removed for safety reasons."
Despite the traditional Chanukiah being removed, a smaller menorah has been installed and 'Happy Hanukkah' will be projected onto Nelson's Column to celebrate.
