George Clooney is 'nervous' ahead of Broadway debut: 'It's terrifying'
Briefly

George Clooney is set to make his long-awaited Broadway debut in 'Good Night, and Good Luck,' a play adapted from his acclaimed 2005 film. Although a seasoned film actor, Clooney admits his nerves about returning to live theater after 40 years. He co-wrote the play and emphasizes its theme of truth-telling, which resonates deeply with him and the cast. Previews for the play start on March 12, with a limited engagement concluding on June 8, 2023.
"I haven't done a play in 40 years ... so it's terrifying," the actor told reporters in New York.
"The fun part about this is we get to do a play about a subject matter that's very close to our hearts ... which is telling the truth," Clooney said.
"Good Night, and Good Luck" is adapted from Clooney's 2005 film about broadcast news legend Edward R. Murrow and his work during the witch hunts of Senator Joseph McCarthy.
