Gas stations won't go away after the EV revolution-they'll just get better
Briefly

"In America, we have a perfect example of what EV drivers want, which is a gas station," says Bill Reid, Rove's chairman and CEO. "It's a site that's purpose-built and that has some amenities, but what if it was only for EV drivers? Then the light bulb sort of went on."
The shift from internal combustion engines to electric vehicles requires a parallel infrastructure shift, from fueling to charging, and from a five-minute quick stop to pump gas to a 20-minute or more charging session.
Rove offers a business model that sees charging as an experience, not just a necessity, one that other gas stations and convenience stores are seeking to emulate as they begin to embrace EV charging.
