A US District Judge has denied Garth Brooks' motion to dismiss a sexual assault lawsuit from a former makeup artist, as the original action is pending in Mississippi.
The judge ruled that the California case should be stayed pending information from the Mississippi case, emphasizing that the latter court should first address the plaintiff's arguments.
In her complaint, the makeup artist accused Brooks of sexual misconduct during a work trip, claiming he exposed himself and discussed sexual fantasies which escalated to rape.
"Jane Roe" detailed that only one hotel room was booked for the trip, where she alleged that Brooks raped her, highlighting the lack of separate accommodations.
