Gardaí have formally identified the deceased as Mirjana Pap and have launched a murder investigation following a post-mortem examination at Galway University Hospital.
The investigation is led by members of the Crime Functional Area in the Meath Westmeath Division, with assistance from the Garda National Bureau of Criminal Investigation.
Motorists who traveled along the N6 and R362 on December 28 are encouraged to provide dash-cam footage to assist in the ongoing investigation.
