Gardai investigating after nine men discovered in freight container at Rosslare Europort
Briefly

Nine men, believed to be in their 20s and 30s, were found inside a shipping container at Wexford port after a four-day journey from France. Initial treatment was provided by emergency services, with eight men reported to be in good health, while one received further medical assessment due to non-life threatening injuries. Gardaí have launched an investigation into the incident, which raises concerns about the ongoing issue of people smuggling in the region. In previous incidents, individuals have been found in similar situations at the same port, highlighting the risks involved.
Emergency services were alerted to the discovery at the Wexford port this morning and paramedics initially treated the men at the scene.
Last October, two men were found hiding in a van that had arrived at Rosslare Europort. They were in good health and provided with state supports.
