A 34-year-old man died following an assault at a house in the Shancastle area of Dublin at around 5.50am. Emergency services rushed him to the hospital, where he was soon pronounced dead. A suspect in his late 30s has been arrested and is in custody. Gardaí are investigating related incidents, including arson and criminal damage, that occurred in the area prior to the assault, suspecting a connection. A Senior Investigating Officer is leading the investigation, and a postmortem is scheduled.
