"Gardaí are seeking the public's assistance in tracing the whereabouts of 72-year-old Jeremiah Downing, who is reported missing from his home in Sneem in Kerry since Thursday, January 1, 2026. Jeremiah was last seen on Wednesday, December 31 at approximately 5pm. He is described as being over 6 feet in height, with a medium build. He has grey hair and blue eyes."
"When last seen, Jeremiah was wearing dark clothing, including a brown jacket and dark trousers. He is also known to frequent the Castlecove area of Kerry. Gardaí are appealing to farmers and landowners in the area to check any sheds, outbuildings or other remote buildings on their lands. Due to a recent medical incident, gardaí and Jeremiah's family are concerned for his wellbeing."
