Gang jailed over 200m of cocaine in banana boxes

In February 2021, a significant drug operation was significantly disrupted when undercover officers intercepted a massive cocaine shipment concealed within crates of bananas at Portsmouth Port.
The National Crime Agency reported that Petko Zhutev, who led the operation to disguise drug activities as legitimate business, was sentenced to 27 years in prison after changing his plea.
