Gardaí have initiated an investigation following the discovery of a body of a man in his 70s on Tuam Road in Galway City, prompting a post-mortem examination.
The area of the discovery was cordoned off, with a tent erected on the footpath to secure the scene as investigations continued after the early morning finding.
