Áine O'Reilly, who worked at the Shannondoc out-of-hours health clinic in Limerick city, died following a road traffic collision on February 13, 2026. The crash occurred at around 11.10pm on the N24 near Grange West, Boher, Co Limerick. One driver fled the scene, leaving his vehicle behind, and Gardaí are following a definite line of inquiry. A man in his 40s was injured. Ms O'Reilly was pronounced dead at the scene and taken to the University Hospital Limerick mortuary for post-mortem. She was one of four children from Pallasgreen. Funeral and repose arrangements in Pallasgreen and Nicker were announced and the parish expressed condolences.
