Harun Abdul-Malik Yener, 30, described his intention to detonate a bomb at the New York Stock Exchange to "wake people up" and reboot the U.S. government.
The FBI discovered Yener had bomb-making schematics and materials in a storage unit, along with a history of online searches for bomb-making since 2017.
Yener planned to plant explosives at the Stock Exchange disguised and had modified radios as remote triggers for detonation, according to court documents.
Yener's troubling past includes threats and a prior firing from a job, leading to heightened concern about his dangerous intentions.
