Eddie Gloria, director of Camillus House, emphasized that many homeless people lack adequate clothing and protection, stating, 'That is why we open our doors to offer shelter, clothing, showers, food, and support until the weather improves.'
In Florida, the homelessness epidemic is being felt acutely, with official figures indicating that more than 31,000 people were left homeless last year, prompting political action.
Governor Ron DeSantis has recently implemented a law seeking to prioritize public safety in Florida, aiming to ensure that homeless encampments do not detract from citizens' quality of life.
