Founded shortly after the long-playing record was introduced, Sam Goody became synonymous with discount vinyl sales in the '50s, becoming a staple in malls through the '80s and '90s.
However, the brand’s popularity has significantly diminished in recent years due to the rise of digital music sales, streaming services, and some internal mismanagement issues.
The Ohio Valley Mall store is set to close first in February 2025, with a sale on prices until that time, while no timeline is available for the Oregon location.
