Briefly

Anton Nootenboom, the Army veteran known as "The Barefoot Dutchman," completed a 260-day journey walking barefoot from Los Angeles to Times Square to raise men's mental health awareness and set a Guinness World Record. He faced numerous challenges along his 3,100-mile trek, including rough terrains and injuries to his feet. Nootenboom stated that the first thing he wants to do after his journey is put on a pair of shoes, expressing how he almost forgot the sensation of wearing them.
"They've been through the desert and snow. There's definitely been small shards of broken glass... the first month... my skin was still pretty soft... and then you have the concrete of the roads, it becomes like sandpaper.' The journey was a mix of resilience and hardship, showcasing the extremes he faced while advocating for men's mental health.
"Where we sleep every night is a full surprise. We never know where we're going to end up. In the bigger cities, it's Walmart parking lots - they got a toilet. But out West, of course, it's just mainly desert... sleeping in a lot of national forests." His travels reveal the unpredictability and adventure involved in his unique expedition.
