Matteo Bocelli expressed pride in his lineage, stating, "I feel extremely lucky to have a very strong passion for music... you don't really think of the negative aspects" of being known as Andrea's son.
He acknowledged his father's influence on his fanbase, sharing, "I do know that the largest part of my fan base now, it comes from my father... you want to use that as a positive thing and not as a negative."
Discussing his musical journey, Bocelli said, "In the end, everyone has his own path, his own journey, and that's great," emphasizing the importance of individuality in his music.
Matteo's debut album 'Matteo' features a single by Ed Sheeran, with Bocelli stating, "He came for my father's show... I asked him if he had some songs that could fit with [me]."
