Engie to liquidate Amsterdam's EVBox - Silicon Canals
Briefly

ENGIE has confirmed its intention to liquidate the EVBox group after significant financial losses, prioritizing social impacts and searching for viable external alternatives.
The decision to wind down EVBox comes after the company posted €22M losses in Q1 2024, adding to €800M in losses since ENGIE's acquisition.
Despite receiving two takeover bids, ENGIE chose Financière de Pessac's offer, which intended to retain jobs at the Bordeaux site and ensure reliable implementation.
The closure of EVBox will see around 670 out of 700 jobs lost across various locations, highlighting the significant impact on employees and branches.
