Elon Musk Lackeys Have Taken Over the Office of Personnel Management
Briefly

The appointment of Noah Peters and other political allies into the OPM marks a significant shift towards politicization within an organization historically filled with career civil servants. Under a memo authored by Peters, OPM plans to implement Trump's executive order related to Schedule F, which facilitates a reclassification of jobs to include political appointees. This could lead to the removal of long-standing federal workers in favor of administration loyalists, promoting a more partisan agenda. Experts express concerns over using technology, such as AI, to identify candidates for these changes, indicating a strategic overhaul in government employment practices.
I think on the tech side, the concern is potentially the use of AI to try and engage in large-scale searches of people's job descriptions to try and identify who would be identified for Schedule F reclassification.
OPM is not a very politicized organization. My guess is that typically, in the past, there have been only one or maybe two political appointees in all of OPM. All the rest are career.
