Dominic Calvert-Lewin is joining Leeds United as a free agent after leaving Everton when his contract expired. He is currently undergoing a medical assessment with Leeds and, if successful, will be the eighth new signing for the club during the summer transfer window. Newcastle United had considered signing him; however, they viewed him as too injury-prone. There had been rumors of interest from Manchester United, but the transfer was unlikely due to their recent acquisition of Benjamin Sesko from RB Leipzig.
