DJI confirms that US customs is holding up its latest consumer drone

DJI's latest consumer drones are being held up at the U.S. border due to alleged violations of the Uyghur Forced Labor Prevention Act, which DJI contends is untrue.

DJI asserted that it does not have manufacturing in Xinjiang or source materials from the region, challenging the basis of the customs hold.

While there are legislative efforts to ban DJI products in the U.S., the company maintains that the border delays are based on misunderstandings regarding the UFLPA.

Despite the challenges, DJI remains a dominant force in the drone market, holding over 70% of the global share as of 2021.
