Police responded after a 911 call reported seeing a body floating in Meadow Lake; the victim was a 46-year-old woman found unconscious and unresponsive.
An NYPD scuba unit recovered the woman from the lake, but EMS pronounced her dead at the scene; the cause of death will be determined by the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner.
The police have stated that there are currently no arrests and that the investigation surrounding the incident remains ongoing as they work to identify the victim.
