Data breach at Cloudflare after failed software update
Briefly

Cloudflare acknowledged a failure in its Cloudflare Logs service on Nov. 14, resulting in the loss of approximately 55 percent of the collected logs, affecting customer data analytics.
Cloudflare's goal is to optimize log processing, likening the overwhelming nature of log aggregation to the postal service delivering multiple letters as individual transactions.
On Nov. 14, a change made to Logpush to support an additional dataset inadvertently caused Logfwdr to miscommunicate with the system, resulting in the loss of log files.
Despite acknowledging the error, Cloudflare took steps quickly to reverse the flawed change, but it led to a bug that halted log events for all clients.
