The crash at the Dartford Crossing has resulted in the closure of two lanes northbound on the A282, causing extensive delays of up to 45 minutes.
This incident, which began around 6.40pm, involved multiple vehicles and is affecting traffic on the M25 as congestion builds at the Darenth interchange.
Motorists are advised to avoid the area if possible, as the resulting delays extend back to J3 of the M25, significantly impacting travel times.
National Highways and Kent Police are monitoring the situation, but the closure of lanes 4 and 5 is expected to cause prolonged issues for drivers.
