After UFC 312, Dana White hinted at a super-fight between strawweight champion Weili Zhang and flyweight champion Valentina Shevchenko to establish the top women's fighter. Zhang secured a decisive victory over Tatiana Suarez, extending her reign as champion. Both fighters have been dominant in their divisions, and White acknowledged the merit for a showdown. He expressed his admiration for both fighters, indicating that a match is a possibility, especially with Zhang's recent impressive performance and healthy status following her fight.
Asked flat out if he'd book the super-fight, "it's a possibility" said White.
White stated, "She looked absolutely dominant tonight. She looked great. As far as I know she 's healthy and came out of that fight with zero injuries, so yes."
Dana White seemed open to finding out once and for all just who the women's pound-for-pound best is: Weili Zhang, or Valentina Shevchenko.
"Maybe we'll just have to find out," White admitted.
