Gabriela Fundora climbs one spot to No. 4 since our last update, and Mikaela Mayer remains at No. 6 after unifying three junior middleweight world titles. Two of those four fights were against Sean O'Malley. One time, he basically mauled him, and the other time he choked him out with one arm. So does it count as four? I think that he didn't even prepare for Sean O'Malley, honestly. He just knew he was gonna wrestle him out.
Van will face off against Tatsuro Taira at UFC 327 on April 11, 2026 in Miami, Florida. The flyweight champ announced the news himself during the UFC Houston Fan Q&A, after the bout had been the subject of rumors from the likes of Krazy Kev MMA on social media. Van claimed flyweight gold during a bizarre scene at UFC 323, when reigning champion Alexandre Pantoja injured his arm early in their co-main event fight.
Carano last fought in 2009 and subsequently went on to build a career in Hollywood. Carano made headlines after she was released by Lucasfilm in 2021 following controversial comments. "I'm fighting with him myself, I'm working personally. And from the outside, he's at least on the same level as them [Ilia and Arman]. A year ago I would have said we still have to wait, but now he's already at that level. Time will show."
Larissa Pacheco couldn't resist taking a shot at Kayla Harrison. Responsible for the only defeat of the current UFC bantamweight champion in her 20-fight MMA career (19-1), Pacheco used her Instagram to taunt her former opponent with a carousel of six images and an ironic text. "The intern thought we should remember this day," Pacheco wrote. The post was made by the former Professional Fighters League champion 11 days before the fight between the champion and her current training partner, Amanda Nunes, on Jan. 24 in Las Vegas in the co-main event of UFC 324.
