Dad 'takes full responsibility' for daughter's death after previously blaming wife

Urfan Sharif accepted full responsibility for his daughter Sara's death, stating in court, "I take full responsibility. I accept every single thing." He acknowledged causing her injuries.

In emotional testimony at the Old Bailey, Sharif admitted to the jurors about pre-existing injuries to Sara, saying, "Yes, she died because of me," as he recounted the abuse.

While cross-examining Sharif, the barrister highlighted a note he left beside his daughter's body, which began with "love you Sara" and concluded with an admission of guilt and responsibility.

Sharif described various forms of abuse inflicted on Sara, accepting that he caused fractures with a cricket bat, stating, "I take full responsibility. I can take full responsibility."
