On December 11 at 3.45pm, a teenage boy and his father were targeted by a group armed with weapons near The Excelsior Academy in Hackney.
The attackers, who were described as a group of males, were reportedly armed with knives and bats, and possibly threatened their victims with a gun.
The father suffered minor injuries that were non-life threatening and he required over a day's stay in the hospital, while his son was unharmed.
The Metropolitan Police are investigating the incident, which remains ongoing, but as of now, no arrests have been made and the Excelsior Academy has not commented.
