Crystal Palace are keen on signing Callum Wilson from Newcastle United. The 32-year-old, a free agent next summer, could be available for a reasonable price in January.
Palace need attacking reinforcements, and signing a proven goalscorer like Wilson could help them get their season back on track. They showed improvement under Glasner but have struggled lately.
At Newcastle, Wilson will be a backup to Alexander Isak; thus leaving could be attractive. An opportunity to start at Palace, or compete with Mateta, is promising.
Newcastle would ideally sell Wilson in January to invest in a younger player, thus recouping some cash rather than losing him for free next summer.
