On November 4, at around 8 p.m., a fire at 1700 Bedford Ave. led to injuries among two residents, prompting extensive emergency response from over a hundred firefighters.
Firefighters arrived to find heavy smoke, with personnel quickly identifying the source: a couch in a 7th-floor apartment, and managed to bring the situation under control around 8:45 p.m.
The injured victims were transported to a local hospital in stable condition. The event was notable as it marked the second fire incident within two consecutive evenings.
According to FDNY Fire Marshals, further investigations will be conducted to determine the cause and origin of this blaze, following several other reported fires in the area.
