County supervisors to vote on giving themselves a raise
Briefly

The San Mateo County Board of Supervisors is proposed to receive a pay increase to $195,782 which would be a significant raise from last year's $168,746.
The proposed raise would align the supervisors’ salary to 80% of what judges make, coupled with a retirement contribution of 4% into a 401(a) account.
Supervisors Warren Slocum and Dave Pine proposed this raise before leaving the board, with the new compensation set to take effect in January 2027 and 2029.
This proposed salary adjustment would be the first significant raise for the supervisors since a 10% increase in 2005, departing from the usual inflation raises.
