The project showcases the significant transformation of a rural structure into a seasonal residence, maintaining its original character while introducing new design elements. The exterior features a single-story reconstruction in lime plaster, with a strategically placed opening that creates a shadowy void reminiscent of traditional rural architecture. The south facade is extended and doubles down on this theme, blending old and new through contrasting lime plaster. Inside, the building hosts a sleeping area and a living floor, integrating large windows to connect with the surrounding landscape and providing a refined living space while echoing classic rural design elements.
The transformation aims to visibly distinguish the added elements while maintaining the original building’s character, emphasizing the rural roots of the architecture.
The new structures made of lime plaster reveal the contrasting nature between old and new, highlighting the architectural evolution of the residence.
