Police in England and Wales should be banned from issuing a draconian caution targeting sex workers, which requires little evidence and has lifelong implications.
Labour MP Nadia Whittome stated that it's shocking the police, with a history of misogyny and endangering women, issue cautions that can ruin vulnerable women's lives.
Whittome emphasized that all prostitute's cautions should be expunged, stating that the government should focus on anti-poverty measures instead of criminalizing sex work.
The London assembly has asked mayor Sadiq Khan to stop the Metropolitan police from issuing these extraordinary cautions that unfairly impact vulnerable individuals.
