Brentwood Centre to come under new management

Councillor Dr Tim Barrett, chair of the housing, health, and community committee, emphasized the importance of developing leisure services that enhance community accessibility and promote health benefits, saying, "This is an exciting time to develop our leisure services offer beyond the walls of the leisure centres and provide activities in community settings, enabling greater accessibility to more residents." He noted the growing awareness around health and wellbeing benefits related to regular physical activity.
Duncan Jefford, regional director at Everyone Active, expressed enthusiasm about the contract, stating, "We are delighted to have been awarded this significant 15-year contract to manage leisure facilities across both Brentwood and Rochford. This joint partnership represents an excellent opportunity to leverage our extensive experience... to deliver exceptional services to these communities." He pointed to plans for innovative programs promoting fitness and wellbeing.
