Brazilian president Lula in intensive care recovering from brain surgery
Briefly

Brazil's President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva underwent successful surgery for a brain bleed caused by a domestic accident, currently recovering in intensive care.
After complaining of a headache, Lula was hospitalized, where an MRI scan showed an intracranial hemorrhage which necessitated immediate surgery.
The Brazilian leader's previous accident in October, resulting from a fall while showering, was linked to the recent brain bleed that led to surgery.
Doctors performed a craniotomy to treat the haematoma, a procedure that involves temporarily removing part of the skull, which was completed without complications.
