Bluesky's science takeover: 70% of Nature poll respondents use platform
Briefly

A recent poll conducted by Nature reveals that 70% of respondents are now using Bluesky, a social media platform similar to X (formerly Twitter), reflecting frustration with X's user experience post-Elon Musk's acquisition. The survey indicated that 53% of former X users have left the platform. Users highlighted Bluesky's advantages, including reduced toxicity and a focus on relevant research content, with 55% of respondents utilizing it to connect with fellow scientists and stay updated on scientific advancements. The poll gathered responses from nearly 6,000 Nature readers, mostly working scientists.
Bluesky is much better for science. There is much less toxicity, misinformation, and distractions.
My feed is almost entirely scientists and I actually get updates on research that is relevant and timely.
