The data collected will be made publicly available through an interactive 'coverage checker' map, enabling residents to understand mobile network performance in their areas.
This project aims to use the results to advocate for improved wireless technology, specifically targeting areas with low mobile coverage to better serve local businesses and communities.
In addition to the bin lorries, portable data collection units will monitor connectivity at key city locations and events to provide comprehensive insights into urban mobile coverage.
