Berkeley grad learns of Grammy win while delivering packages for Amazon
Briefly

Doechii made headlines at the 67th Grammy Awards, winning Best Rap Album for her mixtape "Alligator Bites Don't Heal," making her the third woman to achieve this honor, following Cardi B and Lauryn Hill. Interestingly, one of her collaborators, Spencer Golanka, also known as Joey Hamhock, learned about the win while working as an Amazon delivery driver. Despite not receiving a trophy himself, Golanka's contributions to the album make him eligible for a Grammy certificate as recognition for his work alongside Doechii, who is seen as a star in the rap scene.
I spent maybe an hour and a half yesterday going through like 150 texts and DMs.
I'd been sending beats to her a bunch, and some of the ideas ended up being used for the album. It was crazy.
Although Golanka won't take home a gramophone trophy, Doechii's win makes him a Grammy winner as well.
